Located in downtown Gimli and across the street from the Lakeview Resort and Conference Centre, the New Iceland Heritage Museum is conveniently located within easy walking distance of a wide variety of unique shops and restaurants.

Lady of the Lake Theatre

Lady of the Lake Theatre, Waterfront Centre Gimli

The Lady of the Lake Theatre is a 60 seat theatre equipped with a 12 foot screen and an in-house projector and audio sound system. This flexible space can be configured to accommodate board meetings, workshops, or family events.

Non-Members – $150 full day / $90 half day

NIHM Members/Non-Profits – $90 full day/ $45 half day

Museum Galleries

The museum galleries offer the perfect location for your conference venue needs or your private event. Your group will enjoy exclusive access to the museum’s 3,000 sq. ft. exhibit area including the Lady of the Lake Theatre. Your guests will experience exhibits depicting the unique story of New Iceland and the Fiery Saga of Iceland’s geological history as they enjoy appetizers and sip cocktails. A reception at the museum will immerse your guests in the unique stories and culinary delights of New Iceland.

Capacity – 150 guests.

Speakers/Programs

NIHM staff will be happy to assist you with coordinating the details of your event such as a 10 minute local history film, guided tours of museum galleries, presentations by local musicians, artists, storytellers and Vikings*. Talk to us in advance of your event to allow us time to develop a program that suits the needs of your group.

* Additional fees will apply.

Catering

Catering and coffee services are available on site or you are welcome to make alternative arrangements for food service or refreshments as required.

Please Note

The New Iceland Heritage Museum houses many irreplaceable artifacts. A few practical regulations do apply when the space is rented. The Museum Galleries are not available to rent during public hours. Proceeds generated from the Facility Rentals support the NIHM’s programs and activities.
