On Friday, June 15th, Margrét will be visiting us in Gimli to tour the town and the New Iceland Heritage Museum.

The Gimli Icelandic Canadian Society will host a coffee reception from 4:30 at the Lady of the Lake Theater (not 3:30 as previously announced). 

All members are welcome to attend the reception and meet with Margrét.

Margrét Hallgrimsdóttir, the General Director of the National Museum of Iceland will be the guest speaker at the 17th of June Icelandic Independence Day ceremony at the Jon Sigurdson statue at the Manitoba Legislature Grounds.  Ceremony starts at 3:00 PM.
